Responsible Dog Owners of Canada (RDOC) is a non-profit, national organization comprised of volunteers who believe that responsibility, respect and recognition are fundamental components of dog ownership. Founded in 1999, RDOC's primary mandate is to develop and host educational programs. RDOC is working to build and support a network of responsible dog owners, raise awareness of dogs and their behaviour and facilitate the restoration and preservation of a dog-friendly society.
Mission Statement Promote responsible dog ownership and public safety through education and support; Cultivate respect for the rights and privileges of all members of society, both dog-owning and non-dog owning; Encourage and foster recognition of the contribution that canines make in society through companionship, service/assistance and therapy; and Assemble a strong network of responsible dog owners to ensure the restoration and preservation of a dog-friendly society.
